Gateway Science Academy - Smiley
Founded in 2010, Gateway Science Academy of St. Louis–Smiley is a public charter school serving approximately 444 students in PreK–5, providing a rigorous, STEM-focused education that prepares students to become confident learners, problem solvers, and future leaders. With a culture of high expectations, strong family partnerships, and a welcoming, diverse community, the school fosters academic excellence and life-changing opportunities through its affiliation with Concept Schools.

Concept Model
GSA St. Louis Smiley is managed by Concept Schools, an award-winning charter management organization that assists over 40 schools across the Midwest. Since 1999, Concept has built a reputation for providing a wide array of services for its network of schools, including its STEM-focused curricula that has put students in a position to succeed after they graduate high school. It has been around almost as long as the charter school movement and has been a great partner in helping GSA St. Louis Smiley get to the point it is at today.
